Wellness coaching is an emerging as a new way to improve your health and fitness levels. There are many people who are not even aware of the concept of wellness coaching. Life and wellness coaching is associated with wholesome fitness and not just with the physical fitness of a being. They take in all aspects of living well.
Wellness Coaching is not a healing therapy but is a life design which is created to follow as a healthy routine. Coaching is a powerful medium to communicate the facts and work upon them and therefore it is a sustainable and efficient method. Diet, Health Coaching, Weight Loss - Posted by

I’ve been land blasted many times for saying this. When I say that diets don’t work, I am usually referring to weight loss diets and that they “don’t work” for a long term solution for people struggling with shedding some pounds!
In my experience most weight loss diets don’t work and are really hard for people to stick to. Is that to say that they don’t work ever…..of course not! There is plenty of evidence showing that diets do work if you stick to them, but who in the H** wants to be on a diet for the rest of their life and what happens when you go off? Do I need to tell you?
Surely you have read some of my other posts and maybe have even read my book or other articles of mine where I suggest making lifestyle changes for a weight loss that works. Gradual lifestyle changes are easier in the beginning and will yield lasting results in the end. Surely someone will challenge me on this!
On to my point here……I absolutely love when new studies are done that support my findings!
Researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, examining 31 weight-loss studies found that long-term dieting doesn’t keep the pounds off. While people can lose weight initially, many relapse and regain the weight they shed. The findings confirm what many scientists have been saying all along: Losing weight is easy. Keeping it off is another story.
“If dieting worked, there would be a bunch of skinny people walking around,” said obesity researcher Dr. David Katz, head of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center. Since the 1970s, the ranks of overweight and obese Americans have risen with two-thirds of adults in that category. Obesity raises the risk of heart disease, diabetes and some cancers.
So there it is, the facts that support what I been saying!
A suggestion if I may…….take all the money that you are throwing away on different fad diets, weight loss pills and god only knows what other gimmicks that you may see on a late night infomercial and put it towards a good health coach. Wether it’s me or someone else, health coaching has proven to be most rewarding over diets as recent Yale articles have shown.
It’s much easier to make lifestyle changes and learn a new way to live gradually than to jump in to a diet full force that is only torturing you and giving you some short term results at best!
That’s just my take!

As you may be aware there is a Health Crisis in America. My challenge for you is to make a difference. Be part of the solution. You are reading this for a reason. There are no accidents! You can make a difference in the world if you choose to.
The solution to the Health Crisis in America is YOU! It’s start with each of us on an individual level first. When each of us start making better choices when it comes to the food that we put in our body to our daily exercise habits, then it starts to effect people around us. If you choose to be healthier, it’s likely others around you will do the same. In fact I want you to take it a step further, encourage them! People need encouragement sometimes.

Share with them what you learn about healthy living so that they will have some knowledge of it. Knowledge is power. Maybe they are not ready to take the next step yet, but when they are they will have a little bit of knowledge that they learned from you!
We as a country need to stop blaming others for our lack of discipline and bad choices. I have read about 10 different cases of people suing fast food restaurants and other food related companies blaming them for the obesity epidemic. This really saddens me. Nothing will change until we start taking responsibility for our own health. Nobody is going to make us eat good or eat bad, it’s up to us. We are setting an example for a whole new generation coming up behind us, make it a good one. We leave a path behind us in our lives that people will follow whether you believe it or not! “What kind of path are you leaving?”
I challenge you to take responsibility for your own Health. Be accountable. People are watching you! Leave a good impression!
There is so much information at our finger tips with the internet and most of it is FREE! If you want to be healthier, then make the choice and do something about it. Don’t wait until you are facing some kind of health crisis to make a change. Yes, at some point it will cost you a little money to seek professional help. You should be saving money on junk food, coffees, sodas and eating out that you can put towards some professional assistance. There is always a way if you are willing. It’s all up to you. How important is your health to you, that’s the question.

Ask yourself this very important question when it comes to your health and fitness goals. This is one of the foundation principals that I use when working with clients and I learned it from the genius in the previous post……
Jim Rohn once said “the bigger the why, the easier the how?”
I use that all the time in my own life and when working with others and it always rings true. Do yourself a favor, set some time aside and really think about why you want to achieve certain goals whether it’s health or money…..it doesn’t matter. Come up with the most important things and make a list. It could be 3 things or 20 things, but keep them in order of importance.
Read this list everyday at least one time. I always read my why’s list before I go to bed and when I wake up in the morning to set my intentions for the day.
